Olvanan Small Un-Crewed Aerial Systems (SUAS) tactics at CDET and below
The Olvanan People’s Army will use un-crewed systems in every operation, during every phase, and at every echelon. This package aims to provide an introduction into how they will tactically deploy small unmanned aerial systems from platoon to company detachment.

Olvanan Squads adopt a consistent approach to launching and recovering their UAS in order to give
the drones and the operators the best probabilities of achieving the tactical mission and survivability.

An Olvanan Platoon can use its drones in multiple roles, including reconnaissance, adjusting fires and
battle damage assessment.

Larger Olvanan formations that need to remain in concealed are afforded protection from enemy observation and attack, using a specialised counter-drone unit.

By integrating drones and ground forces, Olvanan Combat Engineers can rapidly execute route checks with the support of drones equipped with multiple sensors.

Drones can be used to monitor and neutralise the approach of enemy forces along anticipated avenues of approach.
